Dras, a tiny village near Kargil, marks one of the most extreme barren landscapes of the valley. In winters,
temperature here drops to -45 Celsius, and has once gone down to -60 Celsius, too.
A landscape so cold it feels alien, where all else has stopped except for the chilling breeze! A town in its own right
with a scant populace but a strong one, Dras is a strategically important mapped territory for India, and the locals have played huge roles in the Kargil war. A rough terrain has ensured less meddling and high preservation for all things natural. The barren landscape is graced with plenty of ice and crystal blue waters.
